Target group
This course is designed for adult educators, NGO staff, librarians, community educators, prison educators, rural educators, and trainers working with vulnerable adults who face social, educational, or economic barriers to learning.
Course objective
This course equips adult educators with practical approaches for motivating diverse groups of adult learners, particularly those facing social, educational, or economic barriers. Participants will explore learner-centred methodologies, non-formal education techniques, and community-based practices that encourage active participation, confidence, and lifelong learning.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Identify barriers to participation among hard-to-reach adults;
- Design safe and motivating learning spaces;
- Apply non-formal methods to rebuild trust in education;
- Use storytelling and community-based approaches to sustain engagement.
Why choose this course?
Many adult learners have low confidence, negative school memories, or unstable life circumstances. This course offers practical, tested methods to create a pressure-free environment where participation becomes realistic, meaningful, and genuinely motivating for even the most hesitant learners.
Our trainers
Experienced adult educators, community learning facilitators, and trainers in inclusion, non-formal education, and learner motivation, bringing real-world experience from working directly with vulnerable and hard-to-reach adult groups across different community settings.
