Target group
This course is designed for adult educators, trainers, librarians, NGO staff, moderators, and facilitators who want to make their sessions more participatory, engaging, and learner-centred, regardless of the setting in which they work.
Course objective
This course develops participants’ facilitation skills through practical, learner-centred approaches that actively engage adult learners. Participants will explore participatory methodologies, group dynamics, visual facilitation techniques, and collaborative learning strategies that create meaningful, inclusive, and memorable educational experiences for diverse groups of adults.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Use participatory methods such as world café, open space, fishbowl, and visual facilitation;
- Design engaging sessions;
- Manage group energy;
- Adapt facilitation to adult learners.
Why choose this course?
Adult learners respond better to participation than to traditional lecturing. This course gives facilitators a strong, practical toolbox of participatory methods, visual tools, and group facilitation techniques for creating dynamic, learner-centred education that keeps adults genuinely engaged from start to finish.
Our trainers
Facilitators, adult learning designers, and trainers experienced in non-formal education and participatory methods, bringing hands-on experience from real training sessions, workshops, and community programmes across Europe where engagement and participation make all the difference.
