Target group
This course is designed for adult educators, counsellors, NGO staff, community facilitators, and trainers working with stressed, isolated, or emotionally vulnerable adults who want to strengthen wellbeing within their learning environments.
Course objective
This course provides adult educators with practical strategies for promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience, and psychological safety in learning environments. Participants will explore creative and evidence-informed methods that support motivation, reduce stress, strengthen communication, and foster positive, trusting relationships within adult education settings.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Recognise burnout and emotional strain in adult learners;
- Use resilience-building methods;
- Facilitate empathy-based communication;
- Apply creative tools such as journaling, art, theatre, and outdoor learning.

Day 1
Emotional Wellbeing in Adult Learning
• Group discussion on wellbeing and learning readiness.
• Reflection exercise on emotional safety.
• Short mapping of stress factors in adult education.
Day 2
Burnout, Stress, and Resilience
• Self-check activity on signs of burnout.
• Guided discussion on coping strategies.
• Resilience-building exercise in pairs.
Day 3
Communication and Belonging
• Active listening practice.
• Empathy and boundary-setting role-play.
• Group exercise on creating a sense of belonging.
Day 4
Creative and Outdoor Methods
• Journaling or drawing for reflection.
• Simple theatre or movement activity.
• Outdoor learning activity focused on calm and connection.
Day 5
Action Planning and Self-Care Tools for Educators
• Creation of a personal wellbeing toolkit.
• Sharing of practical routines for self-care.
• Final reflection and implementation planning.
